Stir Fried Beef with vegetables


200 g     Beef strips
1/4 cup  hot water
3 tsp      soya sauce
2 tsp       water
1 tsp       cornstarch
1 tsp       ground ginger
1/4 tsp    ground black pepper
4 tsp       vegetable oil
2             cloves garlic, finely chopped 
300 g      mixed vegetables
3 no        sliced onions
Hot cooked rice for accompaniment (optional)

  1. Heat vegetable oil in large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and garlic; cook, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Remove from skillet.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons water in same skillet. Add vegetables; cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Return beef to skillet; stir in bouillon mixture and green onions. Cook, stirring frequently, for 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Serve over rice, if desired.
