Vegetable chopsuey


For Sauce:
1     cup   vinegar
2     tbsp  worcestershire sauce
2/4  cup   sugar
8     tbsp   tomato ketchup
4     tbsp   soy sauce
5     tbsp   corn flour

For Chop Suey:
4 tbsp oil
4 cups sliced onions
1 cups shredded cabbage
3 cups shredded carrots
2 cup shredded  beans
1 tsp salt
400 gms noodles, boiled

for Garnish:
3 spring onions

To make Sauce:
1. Mix all the ingredients in a pan, except the corn flour, with some water and bring to boil.
2. Mix corn flour with a little water and add to the pan.

To make Chop Suey:
1. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions for 3-4 minutes
2. Add the remaining vegetables and saute.
3. Stir in the salt and noodles and toss.
4. Mix in the prepared sauce
5. Serve hot garnished with shredded spring onion greens.

  1. This recipe looks tasty, but how to find worcestershire sauce in Sri Lanka? Is it available in supermarkets?
